Luna Innovations is seeking an HR Manager for our Chino, CA site to lead employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and benefits administration within a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment.

You will report to the Director of HR and own site HR processes, ensuring compliance with California and federal law while partnering with managers to build a high-performing team that thrives on trust and transparency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years HR generalist experience, ideally in manufacturing/technical environments.
• Demonstrated experience with employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and benefits administration.
• Strong knowledge of California employment law, including leave laws, wage/hour, and EEO compliance.
• Proficiency with HRIS; ADP Workforce Now experience strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary HR point of contact for the Chino site and build trust with employees and managers across a diverse workforce.
• Champion a positive, high-performance culture by identifying engagement opportunities and modeling inclusive practices.
• Support managers in performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
• Conduct new hire orientations and exit interviews to inform retention strategies.
• Manage leave of absence cases and ensure compliance with federal and state leave laws.
