Job summary

Luna Health seeks a People Operations Manager in San Diego to own onboarding and office operations for a fast-growing medical device startup. You will report to the CFO and oversee recruiting, vendor management, and day-to-day people operations as the company scales.

You’ll drive hiring for software, manufacturing, quality, and clinical roles, coordinate with outside recruiters, and ensure a smooth candidate experience and onboarding process.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8+ years across HR, recruiting operations, or office management.
• Experience owning both hiring and office operations at a startup or small company.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting Operations: Post openings, manage pipeline in BambooHR, keep searches moving.
• Candidate Experience: Front-line contact, scheduling, logistics, follow-up, on-site panels.
• Hiring Manager Support: Help craft job specs and interview loops, maintain consistent feedback.
• Agency Management: Brief recruiters, set submission standards, track performance.
• Onboarding and Offboarding: Own both processes with a smooth, full-cycle handover.
• Office Management: Maintain facilities, vendors, budgets, and office events.
• Executive Support: Travel booking and event logistics for the exec team.
