Job summary

Luna Health in San Diego is hiring a People Operations Manager to own the joining process and how the workplace runs. You will partner with hiring managers, recruiters, and vendors to recruit, onboard, and maintain a productive, welcoming office environment.

You’ll handle candidate experience, hiring manager support, agency coordination, onboarding/offboarding, and office operations while staying close to executive needs on travel and events.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8+ years across HR, recruiting operations, or office management at a startup or small company.
• Experience running multiple concurrent searches in an applicant tracking system.
• Ability to own both hiring operations and office management with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Post openings and manage the recruiting pipeline to keep searches moving.
• Be the frontline contact for candidates, coordinating scheduling and on-site panels.
• Support hiring managers with job specs, interview loops, and consistent feedback.
• Manage outside recruiters, track performance, and renegotiate or walk away if needed.
• Own onboarding and offboarding, providing a smooth experience for new hires and departures.
• Run the office operations, including vendors, supplies, and budget.
• Coordinate events, all-hands, and visits from board or investors.
• Provide executive support and travel/event logistics for the leadership team.
