HarperCollins Publishers is opening a state-of-the-art distribution center in Brownsburg, Indiana, seeking a Manager, People to lead on-site HR operations across 24/5 shifts. You will partner with operations leaders to hire, onboard, train, and engage a fast-paced workforce.

This hands-on role requires a proactive HR professional with strong employee relations, policy compliance, and experience with staffing agencies and Kronos/UKG.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing or supply chain.
• Experience supporting a multi-shift operation.
• Background in employee relations, including investigations and coaching leaders on corrective actions.
• Experience partnering with staffing agencies is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with HR systems.

Aufgaben

• Provide on-site leadership over HR operations in a 24/5 distribution center.
• Drive HR policies, programs, and processes for a safe, compliant, high-performing environment.
• Partner with operations to support hiring, onboarding, workforce planning, and talent development.
• Train and coach frontline leaders on employee relations, performance management, investigations and actions.
• Lead employee relations investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Facilitate recruiting and staffing, build local talent pipelines, and partner with staffing agencies.
• Extend offers and oversee onboarding; manage on-site new-employee orientation.
• Collaborate with Corporate COEs for on-site HR guidance and compliance support.
• Support senior leadership on leadership development, succession planning, and engagement initiatives.
• Handle other tasks to support Brownsburg operation.
