Job summary

Midwest Landscape Industries, Inc. is seeking an HR Generalist to support our human resources function in a hands-on capacity. This on-site role includes recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

You will maintain HRIS data, coordinate payroll integration, oversee performance management, and contribute to retention efforts. A bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of HR generalist experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3–5 years progressive HR experience, generalist preferred.
• Experience with employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits, and compliance.
• Knowledge of federal and Indiana employment laws; confidential records handling.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruiting and onboarding of field laborers, foremen, supervisors, and administrative employees.
• Address employee concerns, disciplinary actions, attendance issues, and terminations.
• Coordinate medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) enrollment.
• Maintain personnel files, I-9 documentation, and compliance with employment laws.
• Coordinate employee evaluations and documentation.
• Maintain employee information and coordinate with payroll.
• Support employee engagement initiatives and reduce field employee turnover.
