Job summary

Ziker Cleaners is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support employees and management through the entire employee lifecycle in an on-site Mishawaka, IN location. You will manage recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, policy interpretation, and HR administration with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.

The role involves partnering with leaders across departments, ensuring compliance, and handling multi-state HR operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional HR experience.
• Associate's degree in HR or related field.
• Experience with payroll processing and benefits administration.
• Working knowledge of HR practices and employment law fundamentals.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR systems.
• Willingness to attend required networking, recruiting, and company events, including occasional events outside regular business hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruiting process, including postings, screening, interviews, and hiring coordination.
• Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and employment documentation.
• Partner with department managers to identify staffing needs and improve recruiting strategies.
• Represent Ziker Cleaners at job fairs and community recruiting opportunities.
• Manage employee relations, coaching, performance management, and policy interpretation.
• Coordinate performance reviews and employee development initiatives.
• Process payroll accurately and on schedule.
• Administer employee benefits and maintain HR records.
• Support HR reporting, audits, and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
• Coordinate employee recognition programs and engagement initiatives.
