Ziker Cleaners is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our Mishawaka, IN team. This role supports employees and management throughout the employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional HR experience.
• Associate degree in HR or related field; bachelor's preferred.
• Experience with payroll processing and benefits administration.
• Working knowledge of HR practices and employment law fundamentals.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruiting process, including job postings, applicant screening, interviews, and hiring coordination.
• Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and employment documentation.
• Partner with department managers to identify staffing needs and improve recruiting strategies.
• Represent Ziker Cleaners at job fairs, networking events, and community recruiting opportunities to build relationships and attract talent.
• Serve as a resource for employee questions, concerns, and HR-related matters.
• Support managers with employee relations, coaching, performance management, and policy interpretation.
• Coordinate performance reviews and assist with employee development initiatives.
• Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented workplace.
• Process payroll accurately and on schedule.
• Review timecards, monitor attendance, and maintain records.
• Administer employee benefits, including enrollments and changes.
• Maintain HR and payroll system data.
• Assist with HR reporting, audits, and process improvements.
• Help ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
• Assist with handbook updates, policy administration, and documentation.
• Coordinate employee recognition programs and engagement initiatives.
• Support HR operations across multiple locations and states.
