Ulbrich Stainless Steels & Special Metals, Inc. in North Haven, CT seeks an HR professional to provide strategic and day-to-day support across facilities, including employee relations, recruitment, performance management and policy administration.

The role requires regular on-site presence, travel between locations, and collaboration with leadership to support objectives and compliance with employment laws. A Bachelor’s degree in HR and 3+ years of HR experience are preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or related field; minimum 3 years HR experience.
• Experience managing employee relations, recruitment, performance management, investigations and policy administration.
• Strong business partnership skills with credibility across organization levels.
• Thorough knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices; practical application.
• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as primary HR contact for assigned facilities and guide employees and managers on HR matters.
• Partner with facility leadership to support business objectives through HR strategies and talent management.
• Interpret and ensure consistent application of company policies and employment practices.
• Investigate and resolve employee relations issues and policy violations; escalate when needed.
• Lead full-cycle recruitment for exempt, non-exempt and hourly positions; onboard new hires.
• Coordinate new employee orientations and facilitate training and development initiatives.
• Support performance management processes, coaching managers on development and improvement plans.
• Assist with compensation, engagement, retention, succession planning and org development initiatives.
• Help with benefits administration, wellness initiatives, communications and recognition programs.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and stay updated on regulations.
• Represent the company at recruiting events, job fairs and community events.
• Maintain visible presence at facilities to foster positive employee relations.
