Job summary

Plant Design I/O is seeking an HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR needs for our engineering and software consulting business. This role will serve as the primary employee contact and manage recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, policy coordination, and related activities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional human resources experience
• Experience supporting employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and HR administration
• Experience communicating HR policies, procedures, benefits, and workplace matters
• Ability to handle sensitive employee information with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and follow through to completion
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Sound judgment distinguishing routine and escalated HR matters
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn HRIS and other business applications
• Ability to work effectively with employees at different levels and on-site in Gonzales, Louisiana

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding routine HR questions, policies, procedures, benefits, and workplace matters.
• Coordinate recruiting activities including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and hiring documentation.
• Coordinate new-hire onboarding and orientation to provide employees with a consistent and professional introduction to the company.
• Coordinate employee offboarding and maintain appropriate documentation.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
• Coordinate HR-related activities with ADP TotalSource and other service providers.
• Assist leadership with developing, documenting, implementing, and communicating HR policies and processes.
• Track employee documentation, training records, and other HR administrative requirements.
• Support performance-management processes with documentation and review cycles.
• Assist with employee communications involving HR programs, policies, benefits, and organizational changes.
