Independence Fire is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to manage day-to-day HR needs, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. This on-site role partners with senior leadership and Corporate HR to ensure consistent policy application and timely support across the shop and office.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in HR Generalist roles, experience in construction/manufacturing, and a proven ability to coach managers while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience with significant HR Generalist work.
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, or industrial settings preferred.
• Experience supporting employees at all levels, including leadership.
• Experience with employee relations, performance management, recruitment, benefits, payroll, and HR compliance.
• SHRM/PHR/SCP certification is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Manage day-to-day HR needs including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
• Partner with senior leadership and Corporate HR to provide timely, hands-on HR support and ensure consistent policy application.
• Serve as the primary on-site HR resource, coaching managers and handling employee issues with discretion and integrity.
• Support non-union staff with lifecycle HR processes and compliance across departments.
