Job summary

OKSI in Torrance, CA is seeking an HR Coordinator to support day-to-day HR programs, including HRIS data management, benefits, compliance, onboarding, and reporting. This on-site role emphasizes confidentiality and regulatory adherence in a cleared defense contractor environment.

You will maintain records, process new hire and offboarding paperwork, manage benefits enrollment, and support audits and open enrollment activities within a fast-paced, detail-oriented team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 2+ years in HR administrative/support role, ideally in government contracting.
• PHR/SHRM-CP or equivalent is a plus; ability to handle confidential data.

Responsibilities

• Maintain employee records in HRIS and update data changes.
• Process new hire paperwork including I-9 and benefits enrollment.
• Coordinate offboarding and exit documentation.
• Administer benefits programs and vendor billing reconciliation.
• Support leave of absence administration and required notices.
• Coordinate HR programs such as open enrollment and training sessions.
• Audit personnel files, I-9 files, and confidential HR records.
• Respond to employment verification requests and unemployment claims.
• Draft/update HR policies and employee handbook with HR Director.
• Assist internal audits (I-9, OFCCP/AAP) as directed.
