Job summary

Custom Truck One Source in Kansas City, MO, is seeking an HR Coordinator to serve as the administrative engine of the Kansas City HR team, handling onboarding, file management, I-9 compliance, recruiting coordination support, and a wide range of administrative HR tasks.

The role reports to the HR Manager and supports onboarding logistics, HRIS data entry, and compliance across two locations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in HR, business administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 2–3 years of administrative experience, preferably in HR, professional services, or office environment.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; comfortable working in HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines without losing accuracy.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with employees and managers at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maturity.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding logistics and new hire administration from offer to first day.
• Coordinate IT, Payroll, Benefits, and Facilities for new hires to ensure system readiness and badges.
• Conduct I-9 verification and maintain files for two locations; support audit readiness.
• Enter new hire information into the HRIS and ensure data integrity.
• Prepare and coordinate new hire orientation logistics; back-up presenter as needed.
• Manage personnel files and HR documentation for active and terminated employees.
