Job summary

Mulberry Villas in Whittier, CA, is seeking an Assistant Property Administrator to support the Property Administrator in daily operations of a 51-unit HOA community.

This on-site role handles leasing, rent collection, vendor oversight, resident services, and compliance with Fair Housing and HOA rules. The position requires strong organizational skills, staff coordination, and a commitment to high standards of community maintenance.

Qualifications

• At least one year of HOA/apartment management experience.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing and tenant/landlord laws.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Experience with staff supervision and leasing.
• Proficiency with property management software and 10-key.

Responsibilities

• Oversee tenant inquiries, property tours, application processing, and lease execution.
• Collect rents and security deposits; oversee delinquency processes and legal actions when required.
• Manage vendor relations with bid evaluations, contracts, and service quality monitoring.
• Support community engagement via newsletters, resident communications, and activities.
• Assist with daily management and operations of the HOA Community.
• Enforce HOA governing documents, rules and regulations.
• Maintain homeowner records, files and property management databases.
• Monitor common areas for cleanliness, safety, and appearance; ensure regulatory compliance.
