IHG Hotels & Resorts in Houston, TX is seeking a sales professional to develop business through direct outside sales for an assigned territory or market segment. You will establish and nurture relationships with individuals, organizations, and corporate accounts, negotiate rates, and coordinate with hotel departments to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

This hourly role offers competitive pay and a broad benefits package, including a room discount and 401(k).

Formación

• Some College plus 3–5 years sales or marketing related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Related degree preferred.
• Prior hotel sales experience preferred.
• Must speak fluent English.
• Other languages preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Establish client base and secure business to meet room-night and revenue goals.
• Actively prospect and qualify new business.
• Achieve personal and team goals.
• Negotiate guest room rates, meeting room rental, function space, and hotel services within approved booking guidelines.
• May assist in developing and implementing sales plans.
• May participate in the annual budgeting and planning process.
• Work closely with other hotel departments to coordinate services and disseminate information.
• Arrange site inspections and off-site presentations for potential clients; entertain clients per policy.
• Produce monthly sales reports and forecasts for assigned areas.
