Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to manage medical needs of skilled nursing residents in sub-acute and long-term care units. The APRN will diagnose, treat, and promote wellness as part of the medical staff, coordinating with administrators and on-site teams.

The role involves conducting physical exams, interpreting labs, and serving as primary contact for emergencies and routine visits. A 3-week training/mentorship program and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited university.
• State NP license and board certification required.
• DEA license for controlled substances.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary and preventive care for residents in assigned facilities.
• Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays, etc.).
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses.
• Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases.
• Prescribe medications.
• Maintain accurate records and schedules.
• Inform patients about health conditions and prescribed medications.
• Oversee patients’ overall health.
