Job summary
HealthDrive is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to manage medical needs of skilled nursing residents in sub-acute rehab and long-term care units. You will diagnose, treat, and prevent illness, performing physical exams and interpreting tests, while coordinating with the medical staff and administrators.
As an APRN you will build strong relationships across the facility, act as primary contact for emergencies and visits, and participate in a 3-week paid training program to help you start confidently
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited program.
- State NP license and national board certification required.
- DEA/CS license to prescribe controlled substances.
- Effective communication and collaboration with medical staff.
- Ability to work independently and with on-site team.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary, post-acute, and preventative care for residents in sub-acute rehab and long-term care units.
- Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays, etc.).
- Diagnose health conditions and illnesses and propose treatments.
- Prescribe medications and maintain accurate records.
- Inform patients about health conditions and prescribed medications.
- Oversee patients’ overall health.
