Job summary
HealthDrive is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to manage the medical needs of skilled nursing residents in sub-acute rehab and long-term care units. You will diagnose and treat conditions, promote health, and collaborate with the medical staff, administrators, and on-site teams as the primary contact for emergencies and routine visits.
The APRN will participate in a 3-week paid training, build strong relationships throughout the building, and lead clinical care with independence while ensuring
Qualifications
- Experience in gerontology, acute care, cardiology, internal medicine, or endocrinology.
- State NP license and board certification required.
- DEA/Controlled Substance license and clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary, post-acute, and preventative care for residents in sub-acute rehab and long-term care units.
- Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays, etc.).
- Diagnose health conditions and illnesses; propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases.
- Prescribe medications; maintain accurate records and schedules.
- Inform patients about health conditions and prescribed medications; oversee overall health.
