Job summary

Plug Power Inc. in Pilesgrove, NJ is seeking a Field Service Technician I to support fuel cell systems in customer sites. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose breakdowns, and report issues while communicating effectively with site personnel.

This hourly, non-exempt role requires strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. You will order parts, track service logs, and participate in safety training as part of a

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• Three (3) or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Must possess a valid driver license, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications is highly preferred.
• Computer and software systems skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate time management.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet at a specific location.
• Participate in field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
• Provide emergency support service as required.
• Order parts and purchase tools/equipment for service.
• Maintain safety and complete administrative duties like service logs and incident reports.
