Job summary

Vallen seeks an On-site Service Technician II focused on Instrument, Fire, and Respiratory services within the Vallen Safety Services group. You will perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs on safety equipment for established customers on a scheduled basis.

You will manage service calls, accuracy of worksheets, and compliance with NFPA/OSHA standards while maintaining safe work practices and documentation for invoicing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 certifications (manufacturer/state) in a related field.
• Minimum 1-3 years related experience.
• Experience in the inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of Life Safety Equipment.
• Current Motor Vehicle License with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conducting service calls.
• Identifying equipment discrepancies.
• Preparing accurate Technician Worksheets (TWS) and reports.
• Providing customer service in the area of inspecting, testing, maintenance and repairs of Life Safety Equipment including Fire Extinguishers, Fire Hose, Gas Detection Monitors, Respiratory Equipment, Fall Protection Equipment and Safety Shower / Eyewash Units.
• Responsible for documentation and ensuring it is complete and turned in for proper invoicing.
• Ensure the customer has all required copies of documentation upon servicing equipment.
• Adhere to regulatory standards (State, OSHA, NFPA) and Vallen SOPs.
• Maintain safe work practices.
• Assist in shipping/receiving, unloading, and warehouse support as needed.
• Use company assets (vehicle, equipment, tools, etc.) and keep them in good condition.
