Job summary

Family Health West is seeking a Financial Assistance Analyst to join our on-site team in Fruita, CO. This full-time position supports charity programs, state compliance, and patient financial services with a strong emphasis on accuracy, communication, and process improvement.

You’ll work with hospital and clinic staff to administer Colorado indigent care, hospital discounts, and CAAS reporting, while delivering timely, compliant documentation and education to patients and team members.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Extensive knowledge of charitable programs and state regulations related to the program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reliable and punctual attendance is essential.
• Maintain current reference materials on charitable programs and obtain concise and current understanding of the regulations & changes.
• Help to build efficient workflows to support efficiencies.
• Communicate necessary information to educate patients and staff regarding financial assistance.
• Manage and oversight of financial assistance programs and applications to ensure compliance with Colorado guidelines.
• Detailed oriented with strong documentation skills.
• Prepare and deliver all reports as directed timely.
• Train hospital and clinic staff on proper charity application processes.
• Manage CAAS program, file quarterly reports to the state.
• Manage the Colorado Indigent Care Program, provide yearly reports to the State of Colorado and assist with audits.
• Manage the Hospital Discounted Care program, provide yearly reports to the State of Colorado and assist with audits.
• Assist Administration to maintain culture by supporting patients in financial assistance.
• Assist Patient Financial Services with good faith estimates for patients.
• Write, implement & ensure adherence to policy & procedures within the department with the director.
• Communicate with team with understanding, patience, respectfulness and kindness.
• Follow all standard operating procedures.
