Job summary

Family Health West is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team in western Colorado. You will perform essential patient care tasks, maintain accurate records, and support clinicians throughout patient visits.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, and coordinating follow-up care. The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and compassionate care in a community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification and/or Registration required.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Minimum of one year of hands-on medical assisting duties or related education required.

Responsibilities

• Check daily schedule; adhere to assigned work days and changes.
• Accurately and promptly complete patient records.
• Take and record vital signs including height/weight and intake/output.
• Work collaboratively with physicians and clerical staff to meet patient needs.
• Assist with transportation of patients within the facility for imaging and labs.
• Support coordination of follow-up care and referrals as directed by clinical managers.
