Job summary

KLA in the United States is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support and repair complex capital equipment at customer sites and trade shows. You will work under supervision of a Manager or Senior CSE, handling updating, diagnosing and resolving technical issues to minimize downtime and assure equipment quality.

Travel to customer facilities is required. You will prepare field service reports, assist with quotes, and collaborate with Installation Engineers on installations and demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, analyzes, diagnoses and troubleshoots technical equipment problems at customer sites or via telephone.
• Repairs and updates equipment to ensure customer production uptime.
• Repairs system-level problems based on technical knowledge and training.
• Prepares field service reports and documents activities for other teams.
• Assists in quotes preparation for customers based on labor, travel, and parts.
• Supports Installation Engineers on installations and demonstrations at customer sites.
• Travels to customer facilities by car or other transport.
• Contributes to knowledge capture and reuse within the team.
