Job summary

KLA in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support highly complex capital equipment at customer sites and trade shows. You will work under the supervision of a Manager or Senior CSE and represent the company to customers.

Responsibilities include ensuring system uptime, assisting Installation Engineers, diagnosing problems by phone or on site, preparing service reports, and traveling to customer facilities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assure operational quality of system equipment and coordinate actions with customers to minimize downtime.
• Provide assistance to Installation Engineers in resolving problems and guiding them on installations at customer sites.
• Evaluate, analyze, diagnose and troubleshoot technical equipment problems via telephone or on site.
• Repair and update equipment at customer facilities, including system-level problems based on CSE technical knowledge, education, training and certification.
• Prepare field service reports on customer support activity and provide documentation to supporting functions.
• Assist in the preparation of quotes for customers based on labor, travel expenses and parts needed.
• Assist other field service engineers as appropriate and contribute to knowledge capture, reuse, collaboration and improvement.
• Travel by car or commercial transportation to customer facilities.
