Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager to partner with the Facilities Manager, overseeing daily operations and driving improvements across commercial properties.

You will manage projects, inspect properties, coordinate vendors, and respond to tenant needs while ensuring safety and efficiency across mechanical systems. This on-site role requires strong communication and technical acumen within a corporate environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in facility management or building operations.
• Knowledge of mechanial, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems with BAS/BMS familiarity.
• Proven project management experience coordinating multiple priorities.
• Strong ability to read technical drawings, equipment specs, and building codes.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving with customer service orientation.
• Valid driver's license and access to mechanical spaces for site visits.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Facilities Manager to oversee daily property operations and ensure systems function efficiently.
• Lead facility improvement projects from conception to completion within budget and schedule.
• Conduct regular property inspections and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage vendor relationships, develop technical specs, and assess SLAs.
• Respond to tenant service requests and participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
• Utilize CMMS, BAS/BMS, and FM software to track work orders and KPI reports.
• Build client/tenant relationships and present operational updates in PM meetings.
