Job summary

Ryan Companies Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for an on-site role in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will perform preventive maintenance on building systems, coordinate with the property team, and respond promptly to tenant work orders.

The position requires participation in an on-call rotation and may involve after-hours work. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in commercial buildings, a two-year technical degree, and relevant licensing.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience operating commercial buildings and equipment.
High School Degree or equivalent.
Two-year technical degree or equivalent.
Hold regional or local licensing/certifications to operate a building.
Participate in on-call, after-hours and weekend rotation.
Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on building equipment and systems as scheduled.
Manage and/or assist subcontractors with preventive maintenance, repairs and projects.
Respond to tenant service work orders in a timely, professional manner.
Assist with project planning and tenant improvement coordination.
Maintain mechanical and utility rooms in a neat condition daily.
Monitor energy system equipment and record actions daily.
Ensure Fire/Life/Safety equipment operates correctly.
Participate in on-call, after-hours and weekend work when necessary.
