Job summary

Midwest Refrigerated Services is seeking a Site Maintenance Technician to manage daily facility maintenance at our Cedar Rapids location. This on-site role requires hands-on electrical, mechanical, and preventive maintenance skills, with responsible ownership of work orders and safety compliance.

You will coordinate with Operations and the Facilities Manager, monitor costs, and ensure timely preventive maintenance, with a Monday–Friday schedule and 6:00 AM–2:30 PM shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of hands-on commercial, industrial, warehouse, or facilities maintenance experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
• Must communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary maintenance resource for the facility with limited supervision.
• Plan and prioritize work based on safety and preventive maintenance due dates.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment; test operation.
• Coordinate vendors and manage work orders in CMMS.
• Maintain tools, parts, and records; track costs.
• Communicate status and risks to Operations and Facilities Manager.
• Follow safety, food safety, and company policies.
