Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and system adjustments on building equipment and fixtures for a downtown commercial property.

You will work with the property manager and chief engineer to ensure reliable services. The role requires troubleshooting MEP systems, strong customer service, and the ability to participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

2+ years in operation of commercial buildings and equipment.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Two-year technical degree or equivalent.
Hold regional or local building licenses/certifications
On-call rotation willingness
Valid driver\'s license

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on building equipment and systems.
Coordinate with subcontractors on maintenance, repairs, and projects.
Respond to tenant work orders promptly and professionally.
Work with the property manager and chief engineer on services and planning.
Maintain mechanical rooms, utility rooms and vacant areas in a neat and clean condition.
Monitor energy system equipment and record daily actions.
Ensure Fire/Life/Safety equipment is functioning as designed.
Participate in on-call, after-hours, and weekend rotations.
Complete Ryan safety training and required programs.
Provide exceptional customer service and exceed expectations.
Lead by example with staff and co-workers.
Demonstrate proactive and collaborative problem-solving.
