Job summary

Oak View Group (OVG) is seeking an experienced Event Manager to act as the liaison between the show manager/client and building operations. You will ensure policies are followed, and client needs are met during events, with safety and service as top priorities.

The role requires long hours, weekends, and holidays, reporting to the Director of Events, and overseeing production, staffing, and contracted services to ensure a successful show.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in event management, facility management, hospitality management, business administration, or related field.
• 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in event management for public assembly facilities or similar venues.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including long/irregular hours, weekends, holidays, and extended days.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate logistics of assigned events and act as liaison for the building with all involved parties.
• Prepare and distribute detailed event resumes, diagrams, staffing requirements, and documentation using industry software.
• Develop and manage event budgets and pre-event estimates for clients.
• Coordinate post-event financial settlements and invoicing.
• Oversee production, setup, staffing, and contracted services for events.
• Ensure facility readiness and compliance with safety, health, and fire codes.
