Oak View Group seeks an Event Manager at Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach, FL. You will serve as the primary liaison between clients, show managers, and building operations, ensuring flawless event delivery and adherence to all safety and policy guidelines.

The role requires coordinating staff, vendors, and schedules, while maintaining top-tier customer service and managing budgets, settlements, and post-event invoicing. Long hours and non-traditional shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in event management, facility management, hospitality management or related field required.
• 3–5 years of increasingly responsible event management experience in a public assembly facility or similar venue.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including long/irregular hours, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of crowd management, fire/public safety regulations, and event operations.
• Familiarity with facility use contracts; proficient with budgeting and documentation.

Responsabilités

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate logistics of assigned events; act as liaison for building with all parties involved.
• Prepare and distribute event resumes, diagrams, staffing requirements, setup instructions and documentation.
• Communicate changes before and during events.
• Develop and control event budgets and provide pre-event financial estimates to clients.
• Collect funds from clients on estimates before events.
• Coordinate post-event settlements through invoicing and collections.
• Troubleshoot during preparation and events to resolve issues and enforce policies.
• Ensure facility, equipment and labor meet contract requirements within safety standards.
• Obtain all required event insurance certificates, licenses and permits in a timely manner.
• Oversee production, setup, staffing, and contracted services for events.
• Coordinate with building operations to maintain facility appearance and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with in-house Food & Beverage for room sets and timing.
• Serve as a facility representative at events and handle complaints professionally.
• Analyze challenges, propose solutions, and support organizational objectives.
• Attend weekly building meetings and report to leadership.
