Job summary

Oak View Group seeks an experienced Event Manager to coordinate logistics for events at our Owensboro venue and to ensure all building operations policies are followed. You will run the show, address safety issues, and supervise staff during events.

The role requires strong communication, budgeting, and customer service skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in event management, facility management, sports management, hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of increasingly responsible experience in event management in a public assembly facility, convention center, arena, hotel, or similar facility.
• Ability to work flexible schedule, including long and irregular hours, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and facilitate logistics of events; act as liaison for the building with all parties.
• Prepare and distribute detailed event resumes, diagrams, staffing requirements and setup instructions.
• Develop and control event budgets and post-event settlements.
