Legends Global is seeking an Event Manager to lead planning and execution of events at Mesa Convention Center in Mesa, AZ. You will coordinate with clients, venue staff, and service providers, supervise staff, and manage timelines, budgets, and on-site operations in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is highly organized with strong verbal and written communication, proven supervisory experience, and a customer-focused approach to delivering exceptional event experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Minimum of two years' management-level experience coordinating events in a multi-purpose facility such as a convention center or major hotel.
• Excellent verbal and written skills needed.
• Working knowledge of facility management principles, services, and equipment for a similar facility.

Responsabilités

• Supervises staff and oversees all aspects of facility operations related to events.
• Meets with client groups to plan and organize assigned meetings and/or events.
• Coordinates activities with service contractors for assigned meetings and/or events.
• Guides clients in preparation of events by interpreting and explaining contract provisions, policies, and procedures.
• Keeps clients informed as to status of deadline schedules, floor plan submissions, insurance requirements and other details.
• Prepares cost estimates and monitors final billing.
• Provides clear, concise, timely communication of detailed requirements to operational departments.
• Assists in scheduling operational set-ups to provide equipment or service needs.
• Monitors and supervises facility set-up when necessary.
• Assists in training Event Services staff.
• Serves as primary liaison between clients and facility departments.
• Monitors in-house events, maintaining close contact with clients and facility staff to ensure successful events.
• Attends planning and organization meetings in support of facility operations.
• Serves as Manager on duty as required.
