Job summary

Legends Global in Mesa, AZ is seeking an Event Services Manager to lead on-site event planning, coordination, and execution at Mesa Convention Center. You will oversee staff, liaise with clients, contractors, and venue departments to ensure flawless experiences.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of supervisory event experience in a multi-purpose facility, with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; on-site schedule flexibility is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• Minimum of two years of management-level experience coordinating events in a multi-purpose facility.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Working knowledge of facility management, services, and equipment for a similar facility.
• Supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff and oversees all aspects of facility operations related to events.
• Meets with client groups to plan and organize assigned meetings and/or events.
• Coordinates activities with service contractors for assigned meetings and/or events.
• Guides clients in preparation of events by interpreting contract provisions and procedures.
• Keeps clients informed on deadlines such as floor plans and insurance requirements.
• Prepares cost estimates and monitors final billing.
• Provides clear, concise communication of detailed requirements to operations.
• Assists in scheduling operational set-ups for equipment and services.
• Monitors and supervises facility set-up when necessary.
• Assists in training Event Services staff.
• Serves as primary liaison between clients and facility departments.
• Monitors in-house events and follows up on client requests and problems.
• Attends planning and other meetings in support of operations.
• Acts as Manager on duty as required.
