Job summary

Encore Global is seeking a Technician to set up and operate basic audiovisual systems for events in a hotel/convention center.

You’ll work under a Operations Manager or Director of Event Technology to ensure flawless execution and client satisfaction. The role requires at least 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience and AV exposure, with lifting capacity of up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 1 year of audio-visual experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license may be required for vehicle operation.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and meet physical requirements.
• Training/certification within 60 days for external applicants.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and breakdown basic AV equipment as listed in qualifications.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain client relationships.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic equipment and software issues.
• Complete systems entry and paperwork accurately.
• Coordinate with staff and external vendors for equipment.
• Assist with invoicing and up-selling when possible.
