Job summary

First Equipment Company seeks a Senior On-site Equipment Rental Programs (OERP) leader to drive day-to-day operations on multiple projects. You will manage the OERP team, coordinate staffing, coach staff, and ensure safety standards and SOP alignment across sites.

You will partner with the Program Manager, Finance, and Operations to review metrics, optimize equipment utilization, and deliver excellent customer service to project teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years in construction rentals, logistics, equipment, or warehouse management.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of On-site Equipment Rental Programs (OERP) operations.
• Know-how of construction gear, site logistics, and maintenance.
• Understanding of P&L, cost control, and budgeting.
• Experience improving customer satisfaction, efficiency, and revenue growth.
• Active listening and strong follow-up practices.
• Project management experience; ability to juggle priorities.
• Analytical thinking to assess metrics and performance.
• Leadership and collaboration skills.
• Professional communication and relationship-building.
• Strong verbal communication.
• Supervisory experience in on-site operations.
• Experience coaching and developing teams.
• Experience with Lean/5S and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the OERP team to ensure program execution across projects.
• Develop staffing plans and coverage strategies.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to on-site staff.
• Train staff on standard work, safety, docs, and service standards.
• Ensure SOPs and OERP tools are used consistently across projects.
• Oversee yard layout, tagging, and movement of equipment.
• Maintain SOPs and dashboards to drive consistency.
• Identify issues and recommend process improvements.
• Collaborate with OERP Program Manager, Finance, and Operations to review metrics and drive improvements.
• Provide vendor performance feedback to inform decisions.
• Promote safety culture on sites and with vendors.
• Foster accountability and customer service across OERP activities.
• Liaise between field operations, vendors, and program manager.
• Visit project sites and rental vendor facilities to assess execution.
• Deliver excellent service and timely communication to stakeholders.
• Supervise and participate in hiring, onboarding, and appraisals.
• Other duties as assigned.
