Job summary

First Equipment Company seeks an experienced on-site equipment rental program manager to plan, manage, and execute equipment rental programs on construction sites. You will train onboarding and daily management of on-site programs, collaborating with project teams and vendors to optimize equipment use, movement, and maintenance.

The role requires evaluating vendor bids, controlling equipment costs, forecasting earnings, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 6 years in construction rentals, logistics, equipment, or warehouse management
• Working knowledge of construction equipment, jobsite logistics, and maintenance requirements
• Working knowledge of financial principles, P&L, cost control, and budget forecasting
• Active listening and strong follow-up practices
• Organized to manage OERP on site or yard and in support of operations
• Proficient with equipment rental software and P2P systems
• Experience with continuous improvement concepts (5S/Lean)
• Willingness to travel frequently

Responsibilities

• Serve as point of contact for project teams and on-site rental vendors to manage equipment needs and implementations
• Visit project sites to establish presence with stakeholders and manage on-site equipment requirements
• Support preconstruction efforts including client/vendor interviews, bidding, leveling, and awarding bids to vendors
• Manage vendor equipment costs and trends, forecast earnings, and communicate changes to stakeholders
• Contribute to project cost control, budgeting, and forecasting for equipment operations
• Provide excellent customer service and timely communication with stakeholders and vendors
• Support safety culture and continuous improvement across projects
• Assist end-user system troubleshooting for rental software and inventory/contract management tools
• Monitor equipment utilization and vendor billing, ensuring invoice accuracy
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships to ensure reliability and high service standards
• Other duties as assigned
