Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a high‑impact leader to run First Equipment Company On-site Equipment Rental Programs (OERP) on construction projects. You will direct day‑to‑day OERP operations, develop on‑site teams, and ensure safe, efficient equipment use with superb service to project teams and rental vendors.

You will coach staff, manage staffing plans, train new personnel, and enforce SOPs and OERP tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited program and minimum 4 years of experience in construction rentals, logistics, equipment, or warehouse management.
• In-depth understanding of On-site Equipment Rental Programs (OERP) operations.
• Strong knowledge of construction equipment, jobsite logistics, and equipment maintenance requirements.
• Experience with financial principles including Profit & Loss, cost control, and budget forecasting.
• Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop high‑performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of OERP on projects and develop OERP teams on site.
• Provide direction, coaching, and support to project teams to ensure safe, efficient equipment use and excellent service.
• Manage on-site OERP team staffing plans, schedules, and coverage strategies.
• Train new OERP personnel on standard work, safety expectations, and customer service standards.
• Ensure consistent application of OERP procedures across projects (requests, check-in/check-out, inspections, returns).
• Oversee on-site equipment logistics: yard layout, tagging, utilization tracking, and movement between areas.
• Maintain SOPs and OERP tools (dashboards, forms, checklists, reports) for consistency.
• Partner with OERP Program Manager, Finance, and Operations to review metrics and drive improvements.
• Provide field-level feedback on vendor performance, costs, and risks to inform decisions.
• Champion safety culture and promote accountability and service across OERP activities.
• Visit project sites and vendor facilities to assess performance and identify improvements.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and performance feedback for direct reports.
