Job summary

Eliassen Group seeks a Systems Administrator to support, secure, and optimize enterprise IT operations on-site in San Mateo, CA. You will perform end-user desktop support across Mac, Windows, and Linux, manage AD/Azure AD identities, and collaborate with security and network teams to maintain a modern IT environment.

The role requires hands-on hardware/software deployment, asset management, and participation in on-call rotations. A strong focus on documentation and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in systems administration or enterprise desktop support.

• Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, and identity and access management tools.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and endpoint security practices.
• Familiarity with IT asset management platforms such as Snipe, JSM, or Jira.
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation and maintenance windows.
• Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and customer service skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience supporting M365 including Outlook and OneDrive.
• Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira and adding or removing users from AD groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on desktop and systems administration support for Mac, Windows, and Linux.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software on end-user devices and servers.
• Administer user accounts, access control, and group policies with AD and Azure AD.
• Manage IT assets through procurement, deployment, support, and decommissioning.
• Participate in on-call rotation and perform maintenance outside business hours.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to support operations and incident response.
• Identify ports on network switches and connect systems.
• Configure static IPs on out-of-band management cards such as iDRAC.
