Job summary

Alpha reimagines the school day around faster learning, mentorship, and real-world skills. This is a full-time, on-site role at an Alpha campus, teaching K–3 students using app-based core learning. You will guide a small cohort of children, diagnose gaps, and deliver targeted interventions to close literacy gaps.

You will lead morning launches and literacy workshops, track progress, and collaborate with families who review weekly data. Relocation support is provided for right candidates.

Qualifications

• Willing to work on-site at a campus with relocation support.
• At least 3 years direct work with children ages 4–9.
• At least 2 years teaching reading in grades K–3 within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training (list of programs) or a master’s in reading or literacy.
• Bachelor’s degree; teaching certificate not required.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Coaching students through app-based core learning: spotting gaps, asking the unblock questions, and maintaining daily goals.
• Running short, structured-literacy sessions for 2–4 students with targeted sequences.
• Leading morning launch, life-skills workshops, and check-chart activities.
• Driving weekly app goals with school currency and gamification.
• Staying with students through lunch, recess, and closing, addressing frustration with a plan.
