Job summary

Alpha reimagines the school day around faster learning, mentorship, and real-world skills. This is a full-time, on-site position at a campus, five days a week, with relocation support as needed.

You will guide K–3 students through app-based learning, run short literacy sessions, and maintain daily growth objectives. You will stay with your students through lunch and closing, diagnosing gaps and providing targeted instruction to close them.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years direct work with children ages 4-9 in teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, or similar settings.
• At least 2 years of that experience teaching reading in grades K-3 within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training (LETRS, IMSE, Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, Fundations, UFLI, CERI, Neuhaus, SIPPS) or a master's in reading or literacy.

Responsibilities

• Get every K-3 student to their daily learning goals and close reading gaps.
• Coaching students through app-based core learning and diagnosing decoding gaps.
• Lead morning launches, life-skills workshops, and check-chart activities.
• Drive students toward weekly app goals with school currency and gamification.
• Stay with students through lunch, recess, and closing, addressing frustration with a plan.
