Job summary

HopeTree Family Services in Virginia seeks a Staff Supervisor to monitor and supervise Direct Support Professionals within the DDM program across group homes, day services, and community engagement. The role emphasizes a person-centered, strengths-based approach, coaching, teaching, and mentoring DSPs while coordinating daily operations and training.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of I/DD experience and supervisory background, with a degree in human services preferred.

Qualifications

At least one year of documented experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD).
Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
At least one year of supervisory experience in a Human Services or related field.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Knowledge of HopeTree Family Services Core Competencies and Core Values.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day supervision to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in a DDM program.
Coordinate scheduling, training, and on-site operations.
Protect safety and promote a collaborative, person-centered environment.
Be on-site and available for on-call coverage as needed.
Travel for training and regular team meetings; support after-hours coverage as required.
