Job summary

HopeTree Family Services in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Staff Supervisor to lead Direct Support Professionals within a DDM program. The role focuses on day-to-day supervision, scheduling, and training to ensure safe, inclusive services and growth for individuals with I/DD.

The position requires at least one year of I/DD experience, supervisory background, and a valid driver’s license. A Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Human Services is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD).
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• At least one year of supervisory experience in a Human Services or related field.
• Ability to provide exceptional leadership, emotional maturity, and patience to support the social, psychological, and emotional needs of individuals with I/DD.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day oversight to ensure staffing levels and activities that promote an organized and positive environment.
• Twenty-four-hour emergency availability for DSPs.
• Coordinate with supervisor on policies, procedures, and compliance with regulations and HTFS policies.
• Model and coordinate person-centered, least-restrictive and community-integrated supports.
• Organize timely assessments and coordinate with CSBs and other providers to assess risks and needs.
• Maintain required documentation including measurable goals, progress notes, and support services records.
• Assist with scheduling and training of DSPs and on-call coverage in emergencies.
