Job summary

Ruan is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to work on-site in East Hartford, CT, Sundays through Thursdays, Day Shift. You will coordinate the timely movement of customer products, assign workloads to drivers, and ensure DOT compliance and safety in all dispatch activities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, 1–2 years in transportation or dispatch, and proficiency with dispatch systems and Microsoft Office are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in transportation, dispatching, or related experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate timely pickup and delivery of orders within the assigned area.
• Direct and schedule drivers' work to maximize efficiency.
• Monitor driver activities and performance.
• Identify and resolve daily service and scheduling issues.
• Maintain timely and professional communication with customer contacts.
• Update driver and dispatch information in real time in dispatch systems.
• Monitor and promote safety in all areas of dispatch.
