Responsibilities include coordinating drivers, monitoring DOT compliance, and maintaining accurate records in dispatch systems. The position emphasizes clear communication with customers and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years in transportation/dispatch or related experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication required.
• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate timely pickup and delivery of customer orders within assigned area; maximize driver/equipment utilization.
• Direct and schedule drivers; notify work assignments to ensure on-time movement of goods.
• Identify and resolve daily service and scheduling issues; escalate to management as appropriate.
• Monitor drivers' hours of service to prevent DOT violations.
• Communicate with customers regularly regarding issues impacting service.
• Prepare and process data and paperwork; update dispatch information in real time.
• Monitor and promote safety in all areas of dispatch.
