Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in Illinois is seeking Experienced Mobile Diesel Technicians to maintain client fleets and handle on-site service calls. You will diagnose, repair, and service heavy trucks using diagnostic equipment while keeping accurate records and inventory.

This role requires 5 years in Class 7/8 techs, CDL preferred, and after-hours availability. We offer a robust Total Rewards package and career growth as we expand our network of locations and services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service facility.
• Current CDL preferred but not required.
• Medical card as required by FMVSS.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Perform basic maintenance on trucks, fuel, oil checks, cleanliness and inspections.
• Manage inventory on service truck and keep vehicle stocked.
• Respond to service calls and work on a daily basis under supervision.
• Maintain after-hours availability and flexible schedule.
• Read job orders and diagnose using diagnostic equipment to determine repairs.
• Document work performed in company system.
