Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to deliver on-site IT support across manufacturing, engineering, and business teams. You will assess needs, recommend tools, and drive reliability and security within a complex industrial environment.

The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to lead technology improvements under pressure in a dynamic setting. On-site Canoga Park location and 9/80 schedule apply.

Qualifications

• When needed, leverage hardware/software solutions to support work teams.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs and cybersecurity basics.
• Experience with ticketing, remote tools, and monitoring platforms.

Responsibilities

• Work with users to understand technology needs and required tools.
• Identify hardware, software, and tech solutions to support operations.
• Evaluate risks and propose solutions to improve reliability and uptime.
• Advise manufacturing, engineering and business teams on tech choices.
• Review existing tech and propose standards and long-term plans.
• Decide when technology should be purchased, upgraded, or retired.
• Lead improvements to reduce operational risk and disruption.
• Analyze system performance and capacity to find root causes.
