Job summary

CDW is seeking an on-site Desktop Support Specialist for a 3 month contract in Hartford, CT. The role focuses on deploying hardware, imaging devices, and managing end-user assets while coordinating with multiple IT teams to restore services and resolve issues.

Responsibilities include asset/data management, device imaging, and on-site troubleshooting for desktops, thin clients, and peripherals. Travel to Hartford Health facilities is required, and the team lead will coordinate daily efforts.

Responsibilities

• Hardware deployment (thin clients, desktops, laptops, cable management, and peripherals)-Windows 11
• Asset and data management
• Device imaging
• Performs analytical, technical, and administrative work in the planning and installation of new and existing approved end user devices.
• Interacts with other IS teams such as Networking, Servers, Database, Applications, Web, Vendors, etc. to restore service and/or identify and correct the core problem.
• Understands networking and communication protocols.
• Installs new equipment and maintains existing equipment including the ability to perform warranty work.
• Moves, Adds, Changes of equipment hardware, software, and peripherals including on-site troubleshooting of existing equipment.
• Reports problems via established policies, procedures and rounding logs.
• Travel to and from Hartford Health is required-primary locations are 2 hospitals;
• Resources will be directed day to day by Clients IT Department and Imaging resource will be titled lead to help manage/direct team
