Job description

We are seeking a Desktop Technician to join our team on a long-term contract basis. The selected candidate will work onsite five days a week in Dover, DE, as part of a team of 3-5 contractors for a 12+ month consulting opportunity. Strong performance and tenure may lead to full-time opportunities. This role involves supporting end-user hardware and software, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth IT operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, follows procedures well, and excels at troubleshooting. Compensation for this role is up to $25/hr., based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Image PCs using SCCM or Autopilot and ensure proper setup for end users.
• Maintain and update inventory records, track device assignments, and proactively order replacement items when stock is low.
• Organize shipping materials, manage FedEx supply replenishments, and create labels for shipping and returns.
• Coordinate the return of equipment from separated employees and retrieve devices being replaced.
• Work with Dell for warranty repairs and replacements.
• Prepare and coordinate old equipment decommissioning with Iron Mountain.
