Axiom Technologies in Quincy, MA is seeking a reliable Desktop Support Engineer to provide on-site IT support for enterprise clients. You will troubleshoot Windows desktops and laptops, install hardware, and ensure network connectivity at the client location.

This contract-based, on-demand role requires responsiveness, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently. Start date is immediate and eligibility favors U.S. Citizens or Green Card Holders.

Qualifications

Solid knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments.
Experience troubleshooting hardware and replacing components.
Basic networking understanding including LAN connectivity.
Ability to diagnose and resolve printer and peripheral issues.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Capable of working independently in on-site support settings.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
Troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals to resolution.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware, OS, and enterprise apps.
Assist with network connectivity issues and LAN troubleshooting.
Set up devices and replacements as needed and install hardware.
Perform basic network troubleshooting with console access when required.
Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
Follow client IT policies and security procedures on site.
