Job summary

The Department of Financial Services in New York on-site Desktop Engineer position provides end-user hardware/software support and will establish Service Desk processes to ensure high-quality service delivery for the agency.

The role requires extensive Windows expertise, AD/MDM, imaging, VPN/VDI/2FA, and security best practices; visa sponsorship is not available. This is a 30-month on-site contract based in New York.

Qualifications

• 84 months experience in desktop engineering.
• 84 months experience with design, build, testing, and debugging problems.
• 84 months experience in MDM solutions.
• 84 months experience with Active Directory group policy standard.
• 84 months experience with Networking concepts (DHCP, VLANs, ACLs, Firewalls).
• 84 months experience with ticket management and prioritization.
• 84 months experience with Windows 11 (64-bit).
• 84 months experience with scripting languages PowerShell & VB Script.
• 84 months experience with client-based security tools (anti-virus, PKI, HDD encryption, security hardening).
• 84 months experience with Windows image deployment and packaging.
• 84 months experience with VPN, VDI, 2FA, and network printing support.
• 84 months experience with Active Directory management.
• 84 months experience with cyber security best practices and compliance.
• 84 months experience with Intel workstation hardware.
• 84 months experience with hardware/software problem solving.
• 84 months engineering experience (research, analysis, planning, implementation).
• Certifications relevant to MS Windows.
