Job summary

V Group Inc. is seeking an IT Specialist in New York to provide end-user hardware/software support and to lead Service Desk process improvements.

The role focuses on endpoint design, image creation, policy management, and security hardening in an enterprise setting. You will develop baseline Windows images, script routine tasks with PowerShell, manage Active Directory policies, and collaborate with multiple IT teams to deliver reliable desktop services.

Qualifications

• 84 months experience in Desktop Engineering.
• 84 months experience with design, build, testing and debugging problems.
• 84 months experience with Active Directory group policy standard.
• 84 months experience with Networking concepts (DHCP, VLANS, ACLs, Firewalls).
• 84 months experience with organizational skills managing tickets and priorities.
• 84 months experience in Windows 11 including 64 bit OS.
• 84 months scripting language experience - PowerShell & VB Script preferred.
• 84 months experience with client-based security management tools.
• 84 months experience with Windows image deployment and package management.
• 84 months experience with VPN, VDI, and 2FA.
• 84 months experience with cyber security best practices and compliance.
• 84 months experience with Intel workstation hardware and OS.
• 84 months experience in troubleshooting hardware/software issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document architectural design for endpoint hardware and OS configurations.
• Create secure baseline images and tailor Windows images for hardware.
• Support application packaging, deployments, and release control in an Enterprise environment.
• Utilize PowerShell scripting to maximize productivity of platform management.
• Maintain platform security and compliance per cyber security program.
• Define, create and test Group Policies and updates for endpoint OS.
• Use standard enterprise tools to implement infrastructure components.
• Provide preventative maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure stability.
• Coordinate with operations, PM and IT teams to align processes.
• Plan system software and hardware upgrades; schedule and test changes.
• Monitor and test current/new infrastructure products and services.
• Conduct POCs and evaluate new client computing hardware/software; develop procedures.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Desktop and Service Support teams.
